Chimping occurs when you're looking at the pix you just shot in the LCD, while the photo you REALLY wanted to shoot is actually happening right in front of you, and you don't realize it because your "digital addiction" got the best of you instead of you getting the best of what you were shooting because you were focused on the recent past instead of the immediate present.
